Intro to Mahjong 101
Curious about Mahjong? Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly class designed to introduce you to this engaging and social tile game. This class meets on Tuesday, November 17 from 10am to 3pm. Lunch will be provided for the group.
Mahjong 101 begins with the basics. You’ll learn the goal of the game, become familiar with the Mahjong tiles, and explore the 2026 National Mahjong League card in depth. We’ll also practice building possible hands (“practice lines”) so you can start recognizing winning combinations. Time permitting, we’ll briefly introduce setting up a game and dealing the tiles.
By the end of the series, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to sit down and enjoy a beginner game of Mahjong with friends.
