This is the second year for Homeschool Soccer Club and we are excited to share that we are partnering with Holland Charter Township Parks & Recreation to offer the club this season!

This club was created to offer a low-key family friendly opportunity for homeschoolers to have fun learning and playing soccer, that only meets one day a week, always at the same location, and with opportunities for both genders and different ages at the same time. Hopefully this will help your family enjoy soccer without feeling crazy running kids all over to practices and games! We are excited to partner with Holland Charter Township this season in order to expand our program and allow for more kids to participate and use a larger park!

What will Homeschool Soccer Club look like??
• On the first night players will meet their coaches and receive a team shirt. Team shirts should be worn on following weeks.
• Each Friday night will be 90 minutes split roughly in half with practice first and then a game.
• During practice coaches will teach their own teams (or cooperatively teach both teams) a skill set: dribbling, passing, throw ins, kicking a goal. Coaches will figure out what is appropriate for age and skill. Then, the teams will play a game. Occasionally, game play will pause for a teachable coaching moment. The same teams will likely play each other for the whole 6 weeks. If we have a large number of signups, we may split certain age groups into more teams and they would rotate playing against other teams.

Minimum Age: 4 years old

Location: Quincy Park Soccer Fields 4260 144th Ave, Holland, MI 49424

Dates: Every Friday evening for 6 weeks, September 11 through October 16, 2026.

Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Teams: This depends on interest! Here is how it will likely be - Teams will likely be co-ed, both boys and girls. Teams will likely be split into 5 age brackets: 4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds, 10-11 year olds and 12+ There will likely be 2 teams per age bracket. If enough kids sign up in a particular age bracket, then we will split that age bracket into 4 teams.

Required equipment: shin guards, soccer ball (each player will need their own ball during practice), water bottle, athletic shoes (no slip-ons, flip flops, slides, boots, sandals, etc.). Cleats recommended, but not required.

We will be offering a 20% discount day in mid-late August at Dick’s Sporting Goods for the club.

Required experience: None! Your child does not have to have any prior soccer experience to play. You will be asked to rank your child’s soccer skills during registration – this is just to help create equal teams!

Registration: Opens on May 1, 2026 and the deadline is June 30, 2026.

Cost: $45 per player - discount for coaches!

Coaches meeting: Friday August 14, 2026 at 6:00pm at Quincy Park
